User Agreement

The final customer agreement will govern the specific PayGap service supplied by the responsible entity for an approved route.

01

The technology provider

PayGap is developed and distributed by UNIVERSO MAGNÂNIMO, UNIPESSOAL LDA (Universo), registered in Portugal under number 516839462. Its registered office is Praceta Sebastião da Gama, nº 3, 3º ESQ, Massamá, 2745-837 Queluz, Portugal. Use the Contact form for website or app questions. Financial services are supplied by the relevant providers identified for your route; their responsibilities and terms are separate from Universo’s technology services.

02

Your relationships

Your agreement with Universo covers the PayGap app, presentation of information and app support. A financial service is provided under the agreement of the entity identified to you for that service. Partners may work with additional regulated institutions. We will make the relevant terms available before activation and ask for acceptance where required. Each agreement governs its own service. No general reference to "partner terms" gives an undisclosed party unlimited rights over your account. If terms appear inconsistent, contact us before proceeding; mandatory law takes priority.

03

Eligibility and verification

You must be at least 18 and meet any higher applicable age requirement, be legally able to enter this agreement and be eligible in the market you select. Use a personal profile for your own lawful purposes. Acting for another person or business requires an expressly supported arrangement and proof of authority. We or the relevant provider may request identity, address, source-of-funds, recipient and transaction-purpose information. Additional checks may be needed during the relationship. Information must be accurate and kept current. If necessary information is unavailable or a service cannot lawfully be supplied, access may be declined or restricted.

04

Funding and account information

Use only the funding methods and account details shown for your selected service. Check the beneficiary, reference, currency and any ownership requirements before sending money. Do not send funds to an employee, an unrelated account or details received through an unverified message. Creating a PayGap profile does not itself open a bank account. Where virtual account details or balances are provided, the responsible provider will explain the legal account structure, who holds the money, access conditions and applicable protection. Pending and available amounts may differ because of checks, settlement or reversals.

05

Reviewing and authorising a payment

Before confirmation, you will receive the funding amount and currency, recipient details, expected recipient amount, applicable rate and fees, quote validity, estimated timing and responsible provider. Where a stablecoin is involved, material asset, network, custody and finality details will also be available. Review those details carefully. Confirm using the authentication method presented in the app. We will not treat a changed amount, expired quote or materially different route as approved without the additional confirmation required for that change. A payment may depend on receipt of cleared funds, successful checks and provider acceptance. We will provide a reference and status information. Estimates are not promises of instant settlement. Banking hours, compliance checks and network conditions can affect timing.

06

Fees and issues

Only charges disclosed and validly agreed, or otherwise permitted by applicable law, may be applied. Where an external charge cannot be determined in advance, the quote will identify the possible charge and available information. We will explain an unexpected deduction when investigating it. Report suspected fraud, an incorrect recipient, duplicate payment, unauthorised activity or a missing payout promptly through the Contact page. Request cancellation or error assistance through Contact or Complaints. Available remedies depend on the transaction stage, applicable law and the responsible provider’s terms. A technical limitation on reversing a transfer does not by itself remove a legal reimbursement right.

07

Security, restrictions and closure

Protect your device and authentication details. Do not share passwords, one-time codes or wallet recovery information. Inform us promptly if access may be compromised. Responsibility for a disputed payment will be assessed under applicable law and the relevant terms; sharing credentials does not automatically determine liability in every case. We or a provider may delay or restrict activity for legal, fraud, security or verification reasons. Where permitted, we will explain the issue and review process. A restriction does not transfer ownership of your funds to Universo. You may request profile closure through support. We will coordinate closure of linked services with the relevant providers, explain outstanding payments or lawful holds, and give instructions for returning or withdrawing eligible remaining funds. Records may need to be retained as described in the Privacy Notice. Closure does not waive an unresolved complaint.

08

Provider information and resolving a mismatch

For each enabled service, check the contracting financial entity, its role, the account or custody structure, relevant protections and its customer agreement. The same funding currency can involve different providers for different destinations. A partner’s name or logo alone does not establish which entity holds funds. If a displayed provider, recipient, amount or route differs from the service you intended to use, do not confirm the instruction. Ask support to clarify the discrepancy. The use of several partners does not remove any party’s responsibilities under applicable law or its agreement with you.
